Invest in China

Before taking potentially expensive action to move your organization into China, it’s wise to ensure that your organization is truly prepared both for the challenges and fast-moving opportunities. If you are interested in China but don’t have the means to accurately assess your chances of success, talk to the Canada China Business Council. With more than 30 years experience and a membership that includes Canada’s most successful competitors in China, CCBC has the feet-in-the-street experience, the insight and the tools to put your China strategy under a microscope. We will identify your strengths and weaknesses and help get your organization onto the launch pad.

There are many China options available to you. The first one and most common is to set up a representative office. If you are thinking about manufacturing in China, the choice is generally between setting up your own Wholly Foreign-owned Enterprise (WOFE) or setting up a Joint Venture (JV). There are numerous things to consider in all cases, ranging from the cost of operations in various areas in China to proximity to material suppliers and sub contractors, etc.

To facilitate entry into the China market, CCBC offers you direct business support services that range from office “incubation” in our facilities in Beijing or Shanghai to market intelligence and issues resolution.

CCBC members, please contact any of CCBC staff for any requests or questions on investing in China.
